Privacy Policy

SwitchTank ("we", "us") operates the SwitchTank marketplace and Aquagram community, available as a mobile app and at this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name/username, email address, and password (stored hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Content you create — listings, posts, stories, comments, messages, photos and videos you upload, and your profile details (bio, website, profile photo).
• Location — the general location you attach to listings, and (with your permission in the app) your device location to show items near you.
• Usage & device data — basic analytics, crash logs, and a push-notification token so we can deliver notifications you've enabled.

How we use it

• To operate the marketplace and community: showing your listings and posts, delivering messages, and sending notifications about activity on your account.
• To keep the community safe: reviewing reported content, and preventing spam and abuse.
• To show advertising in the mobile app via Google AdMob, which may use its own identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not process payments — transactions are arranged directly between buyers and sellers.

Data storage

Your data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Storage). Content you post publicly (listings, posts, stories, profile) is visible to other users; stories expire automatically after 24 hours.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your listings, posts, and comments at any time.
• You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• You can request account deletion from the app's settings, which removes your profile and content.

Children

SwitchTank is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
